Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy
Welcome to (the ‘Site’). We believe in the importance of protecting the intellectual property rights of individuals and organizations, and we expect the same level of respect from others towards our rights. According to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), copyright owners or their representatives have the right to issue takedown notices if they believe their copyrighted material is being used without authorization.
As an internet service provider, we are protected by the DMCA’s “safe harbor” provisions, which allow us immunity from certain copyright infringement claims. To submit a valid infringement claim, the claimant must provide specific information as outlined below:
Notice of Infringement – Claim
- A signature of the copyright owner or their authorized representative.
- Identification of the copyrighted work that has allegedly been infringed.
- Details about the infringing material and its location to assist in its removal.
- Contact information of the complaining party.
- A statement confirming that the use of the material is unauthorized.
- A statement affirming the accuracy of the information provided and the authority of the claimant.
Under Title 17 USC §512(f), there are penalties for misrepresentation in an infringement notification. All takedown notices should be sent through our Contact page via email for quicker processing.
We disclose the identity of claimants to alleged infringers. By submitting a claim, you consent to this disclosure.
Counter Notification – Restoration of Material
If your material has been taken down due to a copyright claim, you can submit a counter notification to have it restored. The counter notification must include:
- Your signature.
- Description of the material and its original location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the takedown was a result of mistake.
- Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction for legal matters.
Submit your counter notice through our Contact page, preferably via email.
Repeat Infringer Policy
We enforce a strict policy against repeat copyright infringers in compliance with the DMCA. Accounts of repeat offenders will be terminated.
Modifications
We reserve the right to update our DMCA policy at any time. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
